I knew the time had finally come to patch these jeans when I found IT – the “right patch”!Īre these trucks not the cutest thing?! I feel like my 10 year self when I wear these now, and I’ve gotten SEW many compliments on them! As well, I feel a good sense of pride when I wear them because this project was a real team effort. Well, I always know when all the “rights” finally come together because inspiration hits me like a lightening bolt. Is yours the same? Most of my projects seem to wait for the “right time”, or until I find the “right fabric”, or the “right pattern”. It seems they’ve always been on my “To Do” list, which somehow never seems to get any shorter.
I’ve had these jeans in the back of my closet for more years than I can even remember. You can put your hands down now, by the way. I wouldn’t dream of asking another sewist such a daring, vulgar question. Ok, hands up everyone! How many of you have jeans in your house which look like this? Maybe not you, but what about your husband/ partner/ kids? Don’t worry, I won’t ask how long you’ve been intending to fix them.
